Transcript:
Official transcripts of ALL prior academic records
The undergraduate transcript should include Latin and Greek language courses: three years of one language and two years of the other language. Students with fewer years of language may be admitted on probationary terms.
Personal Statement:
A one-page statement of your purposes, goals, and special interests relevant to your application to Classics, i.e. why you are applying and what you hope to achieve in your graduate program.
Recommendation Letter:
Three original letters of reference submitted from persons familiar with your academic performance, written on the referee’s letterhead when possible. Register all referees in the online application as instructed; do not use Interfolio or other third-party dossier services to collect and submit letters of recommendation.
Sample of Written Work:
A 5-10 page double-spaced sample of your best critical written work (e.g. term paper, seminar report, published article)
List:
A list of Greek and Latin works read in their original languages
