Transcript:
All applicants must upload electronic versions of their transcripts from each university attended using the SGS Online Admissions Application. Secondary school transcripts, Bar results, or other certificates are not accepted. All foreign language transcripts must be translated into English through an official translator.
Exception: French is an official language of Canada and we therefore do not require English translations of transcripts in French.
Curriculum Vitae:
C.V.(education, scholarships and awards, scholarly publications, work experience)
Personal Statement:
Statement of Interest / Personal Statement (1 page indicating why you wish to pursue graduate studies)
Recommendation Letter:
2 Letters of Reference (academic references preferred).
Writing Sample:
Sample of Writing (must demonstrate the applicant's ability to engage in and generate substantive thought and research). Examples of acceptable samples include:
introduction, first chapter and conclusion of an LLM thesis (or a portion of it, if it is still in progress) with endnotes/citations
a publication in a journal with endnotes/citations;
paper that satisfied a writing requirement for a course, which is based on the applicant's own research with endnotes/citations
Thesis Proposal:
Thesis Proposal (the writing of a dissertation under supervision is the major component of this program - submit 5 to 10 pages indicating what issues you plan to examine, why you think them worth studying, and what approach you expect to take in your analysis)
