Transcript: Applicants should scan and upload legible, digital copies of your transcripts from each college and university you have attended as a registered student. These may be unofficial transcripts. When scanning transcripts to upload, be sure to scan the reverse side of the transcripts if applicable or any additional pages that include comments on the grading system used. Transcripts not in English must be translated into English. We recommend using a high-quality scanner for this process. All documents, except foreign transcripts judged irreplaceable, become the property of Columbia and cannot be returned. All documents must be in English or accompanied by certified translations. Short Essay: SPRING 2018 ESSAYS Short Essay (Essay 2): What one policy (national or local) would you create or change and why? (200 words maximum) FALL 2018 ESSAYS Short Essay (Essay 2): Tell us about a policy change related to your selected SIPA concentration that has had a negative or positive impact on others. (200 words maximum) Video Essay: Since the SIPA Admissions Committee does not offer in-person interviews, students must also respond to a video question. You need an internet connection and a webcam to submit your video essay response. Questions are generated at random by the admissions committee and they will be policy-related prompts. You will have 60 seconds (1 minute) to respond. To ensure the authenticity of your response, you cannot re-record your official answer. Thus, you will only be allowed to submit your official video response once. Detailed instrcutions may be found within the application form once you start an application for the current term. Sample Quantitative/Language Résumé: This resume requirement provides the committee with additional information on your quantitative and language knowledge and proficiency.
