Transcript:
One set of complete official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work done and degrees received, whether at the University of Arizona or at other institutions, must be sent to the department directly from those institutions.
Personal Statement:
As a part of the initial application, prospective students should submit a letter of at least 750 words describing their professional goals and ambitions to the department. To aid the department in fostering their graduate studies and professional pursuits, prospective students should explain why they are interested in earning an advanced degree in the field. They should also indicate clearly which M.A. Emphasis (Ancient History, Classical Archaeology, Latin Pedagogy, Classical Philology, or Latin Philology) they intend to pursue. Applicants should also indicate whether or not they will be applying for financial aid.
Recommendation Letter:
Students are required to provide at least two letters of recommendation, preferably from professors in their major subject area.
